(Columbus, Ohio) - State Representative Gayle Manning (R-Avon) is pleased to share that 10 schools in her district were designated as members of the 2026 Purple Star Class by the Department of Education and Workforce.
The Purple Star Award recognizes Ohio schools that show considerable support to students and families connected to our nation's military.
"It's vital that we honor those who have dedicated their lives to protecting our freedom," said Manning. "I applaud these school districts for their strong efforts to support and recognize Ohio veterans and their families within our community."
The following schools were selected as Purple Start Classes:
Powers Elementary School
Walter G. Nord School
Amherst Junior High School
Marion L. Steele High School
Midview Middle School
Midview High School
Brookside Intermediate School
North Ridgeville High School
North Ridgeville Academic Center
North Ridgeville Early Childhood Learning Community
