Freestanding Shade Replacements
CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Feb. 10, 2026) - Charlotte County Parks and Natural Resources will begin freestanding shade replacements Feb. 11-13, 2026, at the following locations:
• Centennial soccer fields, 1185 Centennial Blvd., Port Charlotte
• Centennial Recreation Center playground, 1120 Centennial Blvd., Port Charlotte
Patrons are asked to avoid these areas during active work, as temporary closures or access limitations may occur. Signage will be posted during construction. Amenities will reopen immediately following completion of the work.
Work at athletic fields will be completed before 5 p.m. to allow for scheduled league use.
Nearby playgrounds remain available for public use at Randy Spence Park, 4333 Kerrigan Circle, Port Charlotte.
