Novato’s Annual 4th of July Parade

Celebrate Independence Day downtown at Novato's 4th of July Parade. This annual tradition, planned and organized by a committee of volunteers, will be held on Friday, July 4 at 10am on Grant Avenue. The parade kicks off on Grant Avenue at Reichert Avenue in the heart of Old Town and continues down Grant Avenue to Seventh Street. Attendees are invited to bring chairs and enjoy the festivities from the sidewalks along the route. Please remember to keep chairs off the street for everyone's safety. Start the day with the Buckaroo Breakfast from 7am - 10am at the Redwood Credit Union parking lot at 1010 Grant Avenue, hosted by the Presbyterian Church of Novato to raise funds for Homeward Bound of Marin. Don't miss the free pre-parade entertainment from 9am - 10am - these lively "warm-up" acts will set the tone for a festive Fourth. Volunteers Needed Volunteers are necessary to run a safe and smooth event. Tasks may include street monitoring, barricade and trash can placement, temporary signage installation, and post-parade cleanup. Email questions about volunteering to NovatoParadeVolunteer@gmail.com. The Novato 4th of July Parade is the largest single-day holiday celebration of its kind in the North Bay, attracting an estimated 10,000 people over a parade route of seven-tenths of a mile.
