Two bus stops on 10-West Iowa City closed Aug. 4-29, due to road construction

Beginning Monday, Aug. 4, 2025, Iowa City Transit will temporarily close two stops on the 10- West Iowa City route due to road construction on Elliott Drive.

  • The outbound stop #0241 (Elliott Drive at Carver Hawkeye Arena) will be out of service through Thursday, Aug. 28. Passengers may use stop #8200 on Newton Road at Lincoln Avenue as an alternative.
  • The inbound stop #8202 (Elliott Drive at Carver Hawkeye Arena) will be closed for an extended period due to construction of the new arena parking ramp. The project is expected to last over a year. As an alternative, passengers may use stop #8201 on Newton Road at the Dental College.
