Elmedin Konaković, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, held a series of important meetings during the Munich Security Conference aimed at strengthening international dialogue and promoting peace, stability, and prosperity-fundamental foreign policy priorities for Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Minister also met with Yehuda Kaploun, the Special Envoy of the United States for monitoring and combating anti-Semitism, and Pinchas Goldschmidt, the President of the Conference of European Rabbis.

In his meeting with Kaploun, appointed by President Donald Trump, they emphasized the importance of combating all forms of intolerance. Minister Konaković noted that Bosnia and Herzegovina's experience illustrates that the combination of laying down arms and the strength of diplomacy is the only sustainable path to long-term peace, supported by the determined presence and guarantees of the international community, led by the United States. Both parties agreed that peace is indispensable and that stability should remain a common goal for the international community.

Konaković also invited Special Envoy Kaploun to the upcoming exhibition of the Sarajevo Haggadah, scheduled for the end of next month in Washington. He highlighted its historical and symbolic importance as a testament to multiculturalism, coexistence, and interreligious respect in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In return, Minister Konaković accepted Kaploun's invitation to visit the United States.

In a separate meeting with Pinchas Goldschmidt, the chief rabbi and president of the Conference of European Rabbis, they discussed the cancellation of the Rabbinical Conference in Sarajevo and the prospects for continuing dialogue. Both emphasized that support for peace and stability is the only viable path forward, with the shared message that open, continuous dialogue is key to overcoming challenges and building mutual trust.

Minister Konaković reiterated Bosnia and Herzegovina's commitment to fostering peace, stability, and prosperity, and enhancing partnerships and dialogue with international and religious leaders globally. He underscored the equal importance of combating anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, and all other forms of religious misunderstanding.
