MOFA Spokesperson’s Commentary on Israel’s Approval of Plan to Take Control of Gaza City
1. The government of the Republic of Korea expresses grave concern that the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip could further deteriorate due to Israel's August 8 approval of the plan to take control of Gaza City.
2. The government of the Republic of Korea has consistently supported the two-state solution and opposes all measures undermining the realization of the two-state solution.
3. Furthermore, the government of the Republic of Korea strongly calls on all relevant parties to make every effort to protect civilians, including an immediate ceasefire and the release of hostages, guarantees of humanitarian access, and compliance with international law such as international humanitarian law.
