Mexico and Canada held their 2025 Dialogue on Human Rights and Multilateral Affairs today, reaffirming both countries' shared commitment to democratic values, human rights, and strengthening multilateralism.

Both delegations agreed on the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation on human rights issues as strategic allies in North America. They also recognized the need to coordinate joint actions in multilateral forums to address global challenges with an approach based on inclusion and equality.

The Mexican delegation was led by Jennifer Feller, Director General for Human Rights and Democracy of the Foreign Ministry, while Mark Allen, Global Affairs Canada Director General for North America headed the Canadian delegation.
