RCMP - Charge Two After Weapons Complaint

On May 26, 2026, at approximately 4:25 p.m., St. Albert RCMP responded to a discharge of a BB gun complaint near 500 Rivercrest. When police arrived, they located two victims with minor injuries consistent to discharging a BB round. A City of St. Albert Transit bus also sustained damage from the BB gun pellets. The two suspects fled the area on foot but were quickly located and arrested by the St. Albert RCMP.

A 16-year-old male youth, who cannot be named in keeping with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with the following:

  • Two counts of assault with a weapon ;
  • Using imitation firearm;
  • Pointing a firearm;
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose;
  • Mischief under $5000.

On May 27, 2026, the youth was brought before a Justice of the Peace and was released on a Release Order with his next court date of July 7, 2026, at the Youth Justice Court, Alberta Court of Justice in St. Albert.

Jordan Brandon Doskocil (19), a male resident of Edmonton, has been charged with the following:

  • Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking;
  • Fail to comply with an undertaking;
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

On May 27, 2026, Doskocil was brought before a Justice of the Peace and released on a Release Order with his next court date of June 29, 2026, at the Alberta Court of Justice in St. Albert.

"Carrying replica firearms in public is highly dangerous and which can be mistaken for real weapons causing serious public safety risks and potential legal consequences," said Sgt. Terrence Willard, Community Engagement Unit NCO St. Albert RCMP. " The resemblance between imitation and real firearms can be indistinguishable which is notable in the two imitation firearms that were seized."
