City of Titusville Committed to New Water Quality Law

The City of Titusville Public Works Department is committed to complying with Senate Bill 700, also referred to as the Florida Farm Bill, recently signed into law by Governor Ron DeSantis.

The Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services law is focused on omitting any additive to the water supply unless it is directly linked to improving water quality.

While the bill doesn't specifically mention fluoride, it will require the mineral and other additives to be removed from water resources across the state.

The City of Titusville has already begun the process of removing fluoride from the city's water system.

"The quality of our citizen's drinking water is one of our department's highest priorities," said City of Titusville Public Works Director, Kevin Cook, P.E. " Our dedicated team members are already working diligently to comply with this state mandate, and we will be 100% compliant by July 1, 2025," added Cook.
