M-77 lane closure for emergency culvert repairs in Schoolcraft County

NEWBERRY, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be making emergency repairs to the M-77 culvert at Lake Ann Louise, north of Blaney Park, Schoolcraft County, requiring a lane closure beginning today, June 5.

Work will repair water damage near the culvert.

The northbound lane of M-77 is closed at the culvert with one alternating lane of traffic shifted to the southbound lane and shoulder using a temporary traffic signal. The lane closure is expected to be in place until plans for emergency repairs can be developed.

More information on the repair schedule and ongoing traffic impacts will be released when it becomes available.

Closing the lane is necessary to keep motorists safe and prevent further damage to the roadway.
