Dr. Rosellen M. Rosich, MA, PhD, CDP, CADDCT, professor emerita with the Department of Psychology, will present 'Aging and Brain Health: What You Never Learned at Home!' on Feb. 17.
Aging affects physical, psychological and social functioning, and it involves both gains and losses. While some age-related changes are unavoidable, others can be slowed through healthy lifestyle choices. Because the brain drives thinking, memory, emotions, and many biological processes, it plays a central role in how we develop and how we age.
Research has identified modifiable lifestyle habits that support brain health, as well as ways to manage changes that cannot be prevented. This presentation will take a lifespan approach to understanding factors that influence brain health and mental functioning, highlighting key lifestyle practices that help keep the brain healthy at any age.
Registration to attend is requested.
