62nd session of the Human Rights Council Universal Periodic Review (adoptions) – The Federated States of Micronesia

Mr Vice President,

New Zealand appreciates this opportunity to comment on the Federated States of Micronesia's Universal Periodic Review outcome.

We commend the Federated States of Micronesia's continued commitment to the rights of women and girls, including its leadership in advancing the Micronesian Gender Equality Framework in collaboration with sub-regional partners.

New Zealand also welcomes the Federated States of Micronesia's efforts to promote the rights of people with disabilities through the Kosrae and Chuuk Disability Acts.

New Zealand appreciates the Federated States of Micronesia's engagement in this Universal Periodic Review and looks forward to continued partnership on human rights.
