Washington, D.C., May 14, 2025 - FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced the appointment of veteran communicator and public affairs expert Scott Schneider as a Managing Director in the Crisis & Litigation Communications practice within its Strategic Communications segment.
Mr. Schneider, who is based in Washington, D.C., will focus on providing litigation and crisis communications counsel to C-suites, boards, general counsel and corporate executives at domestic and international organizations as they navigate the evolving regulatory, political and financial risks in complex operating environments.
Mr. Schneider brings significant experience in crisis, litigation and financial communications. A trained lawyer, he served as counselor to the chairman and director of public affairs at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. He oversaw the SEC's external and internal communications strategies for crisis preparedness and response, rulemaking and enforcement communications, digital strategy, and media relations, among other areas.
Previously, Mr. Schneider advised chief executive officers and chief financial officers of leading global companies on financial communications at a communications consulting firm. Earlier in his career, Mr. Schneider led communication for the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, worked in the U.S. Senate, and spent time on national and state political campaigns.
