Fatal Fire At 209 Catalina St. In Las Vegas

Cause Of The Fire Is Under Investigation

Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024, at 11:07 p.m., Las Vegas Fire & Rescue received an emergency call for 209 Catalina St. The first LVFR units were on site within four minutes of their assignment. Crews forced entry and searched the residence; two victims were located − one male and one female. Both patients were rescued from the home. Fire crews continued to work to contain and mitigate the fire.

One patient was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, the second victim succumbed to his injuries. As of 7 a.m. Nov. 7, the first patient was still in critical condition.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Two individuals were illegally on the premises. No current or recent Code Enforcement or Fire Prevention inspection activities are associated with this address.

The damage to the home is estimated at $50,000.
