Fatal shooting at apartment complex in Inkster Gardens: C26-92108

On April 21, 2026, at 10:32 p.m., officers from the North District, along with the Tactical Support Team and the K9 Unit responded to the report of possible gunshots at an apartment complex in Inkster Gardens.

Police located two adults with serious gunshot wounds within one of the suites. Officers provided emergency medical care until they were taken to hospital by ambulance.

A woman in her 30s was in critical condition, and later upgraded to stable condition, and a man in his 50s remained in critical condition.

The Major Crimes Unit took over the investigation and determined the shooting was the result of a domestic-related incident. There are no suspects outstanding.

On April 22, 2026, the male succumbed to his injuries.
