West Friendly Avenue Lane Closures Underway

Two westbound lanes of West Friendly Avenue, from North Eugene Street to North Greene Street, are closed due to an eight-inch water main break. Approximately five water customers are without service.

City crews will be on-site until repairs are completed, the lanes reopened, and service is restored, which is expected by 10 pm tonight. Signs and traffic cones are in place, and motorists are urged to use alternate routes to avoid the area. See the map below for the location.

If you notice discoloration or cloudy water coming from your tap after the repairs, run cold water for a few minutes through a faucet without an aerator, such as an outside spigot or bathtub, until clear.
