The message reads, in part:
"Improving demographic policy, supporting birth rates and larger families, and ensuring a decent quality of life for families in Russia is a national priority.
Let me be clear: to make progress and achieve our aims, this far-reaching and much-needed work requires joint efforts from the state, NGOs, religious organisations, the business community, and the media. We need to focus on addressing urgent challenges in healthcare, education, the economy and culture, as well as improving our towns and cities. And, of course, it is vital to raise the younger generation in the spirit of valuing large, multi-generational, and close-knit families, where care for children and elderly relatives comes naturally. The more families live in harmony with one another, the more humane and resilient our society becomes, and the more secure our country's future will be.
I am confident that the conference will be held to a high standard, both organisationally and creatively, and that its outcomes will be widely applied in practice. I would like to offer my sincere congratulations to this year's winners of the National Award 'Large Family of Russia' for media representatives for the best coverage of family issues in the media space."
