LOS ANGELES - The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) is seeking proposals from qualified law firms to provide legal services in support of the agency's programs, operations, and initiatives. The Request for Proposals (RFP) is now open and available via the Regional Alliance Marketplace for Procurement (RAMP) at https://www.rampla.org or the HACLA website at https://www.hacla.org/open-solicitations.
The selected firms will support HACLA and its affiliated entities on an as-needed basis. Under the direction of HACLA's General Counsel and internal counsel, contracted firms will advise the agency in several legal areas, including but not limited to: general litigation, employment law, municipal law, real estate, and bonds.
"HACLA is the biggest provider of affordable housing in Los Angeles, and we are proud of the Legal Department's role providing advice on innovative and creative solutions to our housing crisis, maintaining compliance with relevant state and federal laws, and protecting public funds for our vital mission," said Lourdes Castro Ramirez, HACLA President & CEO.
"Our legal service providers will continue to assist with HACLA's housing efforts in the years to come, and thus we encourage all interested law firms to review our solicitation and consider submitting a proposal," said James Johnson, HACLA General Counsel.
HACLA invites law firms in good standing to apply. Specific qualifications and submission instructions can be found in the RFP.
The full RFP is available on the RAMP portal, https://www.rampla.org. Registration is required but free of charge. Only registered users will receive updates or addenda related to the solicitation.
