The visa-free agreement between the governments of the People's Republic of China and Uzbekistan will come into effect on June 1, 2025.
Under the agreement, holders of valid service passports, passports for public affairs, and ordinary passports of China, as well as Uzbek citizens holding ordinary passports, will be exempt from visa requirements when entering, exiting, or transiting through the other country. The visa-free stay is limited to 30 days per visit, with a cumulative maximum of 90 days within any 180-day period. Those who plan to stay in the other country for more than 30 days, or to reside, work, study, engage in journalism, or conduct any other activities requiring prior authorization, must obtain the appropriate visas before entering the other country.
In addition, to further facilitate cross-border exchanges, China has announced to expand the coverage of its visa-free policies. From June 1, 2025 to May 31, 2026, China will grant visa-free entry to nationals from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru and Uruguay on a trial basis. Ordinary passport holders from the five countries can enjoy visa exemptions when come to China for business, tourism, visiting relatives and friends, exchanges and transit for no more than 30 days.
