NSA Launches 13th Annual Codebreaker Challenge

FORT MEADE, Md. - The National Security Agency (NSA) officially announced the launch of its 13th Annual Codebreaker Challenge today, inviting college and university students across the United States to test their technical skills against a realistic, mission-centric cybersecurity scenario.

This year's challenge provides students with hands-on experience in reverse engineering, cryptography, vulnerability research, and network forensics. The scenario immerses participants in a simulated environment where they must investigate and mitigate a sophisticated cyber intrusion targeting a critical national logistics and supply chain network.

The Codebreaker Challenge is available to anyone holding an email address from a recognized U.S. school or university. Participants must register and log in on an individual basis. While the challenge is open to students, professors, and alumni alike, only students will be eligible to earn points and awards.
