TRAFFIC ALERT - New Castle County - I-95/Rt896 Interchange Upcoming Closures

The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces there will be overnight lane closures on northbound and southbound Rt 896 for milling, paving and striping (Mon. - ; Thu.). There will be a daytime right lane closure on eastbound Welsh Tract Road onto southbound Rt 896 for milling and paving (Tue.). The southbound Rt 896 on-ramp to I-95 northbound will be closed overnight to facilitate milling and paving on southbound Rt 896 (Wed.). The intersections of Rt 896 at Welsh Tract Road and Old Baltimore Pike will be under flagging conditions overnight (Mon. - ; Thu.).

· Wednesday, April 22nd: Overnight Ramp Closure, Southbound Rt 896 on ramp to Northbound I-95 (9PM - ; 5AM)

Rt 896 IMPACTS
· Monday, April 20th through Thursday, April 23rd: Overnight Lane Closure, Northbound Rt 896, I-95 Interchange to Welsh Tract Road (10PM - ; 5AM)

· Monday, April 20th through Thursday, April 23rd: Overnight Lane Closure, Southbound Rt 896, Welsh Tract Road to the Old Baltimore Pike (10PM - ; 5AM).

· Monday, April 20th through Thursday, April 23rd: Intersection Under Flagging Control, Rt 896 intersections with Welsh Tract Road and the Old Baltimore Pike (10PM - 5AM)

· Tuesday, April 21st: Daytime Right Turn Lane Closure, Eastbound Welsh Tract Road onto Southbound Rt 896 (9AM - ; 5PM)
