MAYOR ELICKER STATEMENT ON HOSPITALIZATION OF SENATOR CHRIS MURPHY
[NEW HAVEN, CT] - Mayor Justin Elicker released the following statement regarding news of Senator Chris Murphy's hospitalization:
"Senator Murphy is an incredible champion for New Haven and Connecticut. He is also a national leader on so many critical issues: from advancing common sense gun laws for our communities to protecting our democracy here at home to advancing a forward-looking foreign policy abroad.
As we prepare to elect a new Congress at this critical moment in our nation's history, we need Chris Murphy in the United States Senate representing us, fighting for our values and helping to lead the way forward.
My thoughts are with Senator Murphy and his family, and I'm relieved he is expected to make a full recovery."
