Evanescent

Step into Evanescent, a dreamlike, immersive artwork by Atelier Sisu that transforms the city into a glowing playground. This larger-than-life "art-chitecture" installation invites you to wander through shifting light, colour, and atmosphere, experiencing public space in a whole new way. Come explore, take it in, and snap a seriously magical Festival moment.

By emulating the ethereal quality and magic of bubbles, Atelier Sisu's Evanescent appeals to our universal playfulness and childlike wonder, the work encourages the audience to consider the world around them as a space of transience and fragility, like that of a bubble.

Peruvian artist, Renzo B. Larriviere and Australian artist, Zara Pasfield, founded Atelier Sisu in 2020 after years of collaboration as independent artists, in the medium of experiential sculpture.

Atelier Sisu focuses on the intersection of art and architecture through the medium of large-scale temporary architectures. While all scales of art influence how we may experience a space, the confined parameters of a museum or a gallery are not the only environment in which to exhibit. Rather, the public realm is where Sisu is able to realise these ephemeral environments that push the boundaries of conventional Art and Spaces and embed it into the fabric of a city and its community.
