Undersecretary Dell’Utri at FAO for Rome Nutrition Week 2026

The Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Massimo Dell'Utri, today took part in the high-level segment of Rome Nutrition Week 2026, hosted by the FAO and dedicated to the theme "Delivering as One for Coherent Nutrition Action".

The event, promoted by the UN-Nutrition system together with FAO, IFAD and WFP, brought together senior representatives of the Rome-based Agencies, government officials, international financial institutions, civil society and the private sector to discuss global challenges related to nutrition, food security and the transformation of agrifood systems.

In his address, Undersecretary Dell'Utri reaffirmed Italy's support for an integrated approach to nutrition policies, highlighting the value of multilateral coordination and the work carried out by the Rome-based Agencies. "Nutrition is not only about access to food, but also about health, social stability, the quality of development and the resilience of communities. Italy will continue to support initiatives capable of strengthening sustainable agrifood systems, enhancing local production and promoting healthy dietary models, including through the contribution of the Mediterranean diet," stated Undersecretary Dell'Utri.
