DEXSTA FCU Hosts 88th Annual Meeting & Awards Student Scholarships

DEXSTA Federal Credit Union recently held its 88th Annual Meeting, bringing together members and leadership to reflect on the organization's financial performance, key achievements, and continued commitment to enhancing member services and community impact.

A highlight of the evening was the recognition of three exceptional high school seniors, each awarded a $1,000 scholarship in recognition of their academic excellence, leadership, and service: Taylor Fitzgerald of Caravel Academy, Delaney Westhoff of Middletown High School, and MacKenzie Wilson of Wilmington Friends School.

Taylor Fitzgerald stands out as a top scholar with a 4.34 GPA and strong leadership as President of the National Honor Society. She is actively involved in numerous service initiatives, including efforts addressing food insecurity, youth mentorship, and community outreach, while also excelling as a student-athlete. She plans to pursue a career in healthcare administration.

Delaney Westhoff has demonstrated strong leadership as Band President and Colorguard Captain, where she helps lead tryouts, mentor new members, and organize team activities. She has also pursued her passion for environmental conservation through an internship with the Marine Education Research and Rehabilitation Institute, assisting with marine animal rescue and research. In addition, she is involved in agricultural education and volunteers teaching younger students about sustainability and gardening.

MacKenzie Wilson is an International Baccalaureate student with a 3.8 GPA who serves as captain of her school's swimming team, where she has developed leadership and teamwork skills. She is actively involved in community service through church outreach and youth programs and has experience teaching as a swimming instructor. She plans to study nursing and become a nurse anesthetist.
