What is Alpha-Gal Syndrome

Dr. Ed Rylander, an AMG physician, explains that alpha-gal syndrome is an allergic reaction to a sugar molecule found in red meat, typically triggered by a bite from a Lone Star tick. The bite introduces the molecule into the bloodstream, prompting the immune system to react to red meat and other mammal-based products.
