ODOT seeking public comments on upcoming projects

SIDNEY (Friday, May 22, 2026) - The Ohio Department of Transportation District 7 is seeking public comments regarding the following projects:

Champaign County - Culvert Rehabilitation and Replacement, PID 116487 - ODOT proposes to address the deteriorated condition of six culvert systems on US 36 in Champaign County. Work will include headwall replacements, catch basin installations, culvert extensions, and grading improvements. Construction is expected to begin Spring 2028 and require approximately six months. At individual locations, the project is expected to require approximately one month.

Clark County - Selma Pike Bridge over North Fork, PID 122105 - The Clark County Engineer's Office proposes to replace the Selma Pike Bridge over the North Fork of the Little Miami River in Green Township. The project is necessary to address the deteriorated condition of the bridge. Construction is expected to begin in Spring/Summer 2029.

Clark County - New Carlisle Pike Bridge Replacement, PID 122842 - The Clark County Engineer's Office proposes to address the deteriorated condition of the New Carlisle Pike (County Route 314) bridge over Donnels Creek in Bethel Township. The project is necessary to address the deteriorated condition and design deficiencies of the existing bridge. The project is expected to begin in Spring/Summer 2028.

Miami County - State Route 571 Crosswalk Improvements, PID 124454 - The Village of West Milton proposes to install pedestrian crossings at the intersection of State Route 571 and Stone Meadows Boulevard and at the intersection of Hayes Street/State Route 571 and Jay Street. Improvements will include upgrades to lighting, curb ramp upgrades, high-visibility crosswalks, rectangular rapid flashing beacons, and pedestrian hybrid beacons. New sidewalk will be installed at Stone Meadows Boulevard. The project is expected to begin in Summer 2028 and require up to six months to construct.

Montgomery County - Kettering Far Hills Shared Use Path, PID 124300 - The City of Kettering proposes to install a new shared-use path along Far Hills Avenue (State Route 48), between Carrlands Drive and Lewiston Road. The proposed path will replace the existing sidewalk on the east side of the road. In order to construct the shared-use path, the third northbound vehicular travel lane on Far Hills Avenue will be eliminated, narrowing the roadway from six to five lanes. Construction is currently expected to begin Spring 2029 and require up to six months.

Shelby County - Interstate 75 Resurfacing, PID 121058 - ODOT proposes to resurface Interstate 75 in Shelby County, from SLM 2.51 to SLM 5.66. The project is necessary maintenance. The project will require the closure of the I-75 entrance and exit ramps to Fair Road for approximately one week each. Signed detours will be provided; the specific detour will be determined in consultation with the City of Sidney. The project is expected to begin in Spring 2027.
