At next month's International BoatBuilders' Exhibition & Conference (IBEX), running Oct. 7-9 at the Tampa Convention Center, NMMA will sponsor the "Regulations Affecting Boat, Engine, and Accessory Manufacturers in 2026 and Beyond" session. With numerous changes on the horizon for the upcoming year, it's imperative that recreational marine manufacturers stay updated on the regulations that impact their business.
At the panel, manufacturers will learn what steps they can take now to prepare, protect their operations, and advocate for the industry. A Q&A session will follow.
The session will cover critical updates, such as:
-
The EPA's December 2024 identification of styrene as a potential high-priority chemical and what that could mean for boatbuilders.
-
The proposed OSHA Heat Standard and its possible requirements if finalized.
-
Upcoming changes to California's Proposition 65 that will affect marine product labeling starting in 2028.
Speakers include:
-
Dustin Hollis, Grady-White
-
Eric Johnson, United States Coast Guard, Office of Auxiliary and Boating Safety
