Washington, D.C. - Congressman Don Davis (NC-01) announced the start of his new Department of Defense Legislative Fellow, Master Sergeant Adan Garcia. A native of Mission, Texas, he has served in the United States Air Force for 13 years as an aerospace medical technician. Garcia has vast experience in clinical instruction, outpatient, and pre-hospital care. He holds an undergraduate degree in public health from American Military University (Charles Town, West Virginia) and a graduate degree in health administration from the University of the Incarnate Word (San Antonio, Texas).
Garcia most recently served as a legislative fellow at the United States Air Force Surgeon General's Congressional and Public Affairs Office, where he was the primary enlisted congressional advisor to the Surgeon General and Air Force Medical Command, impacting 56,000 personnel, 3,000,000 TRICARE beneficiaries, and operating with a $2.8 billion budget across 76 medical treatment facilities.
