Washington, D.C.--U.S. Senator Mike Crapo (R-Idaho) issued the following statement on the Supreme Court of the United States decision upholding Idaho's Title IX law protecting women's sports:
"Title IX was established to ensure fairness for women and girls in sports. Idaho led the nation by passing the first law to protect equal athletic opportunities based on biological sex, and I joined the Idaho delegation in leading an amicus brief in support of that law. The SCOTUS ruling on Little v. Hecox today upholds Idaho's efforts to stand firm against attempts to dismantle the integrity of women's sports and Title IX protections."
Senator Crapo joined an amicus brief supporting in support of Idaho's law and is a co-sponsor of the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act.
