The Cancer Center at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center (CBMC) recently welcomed several new medical oncologists to the statewide multidisciplinary oncology team at RWJBarnabas Health and Rutgers Cancer Institute, the state's only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. William DeRosa, DO; Ben Freeman, MD; David Gallinson, DO; Sarada Gurubhagavatula, MD, MPH; and Sam (KarLeung) Siu, MD, will see patients at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ, and Drs. Siu and Freeman will also see patients at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ.

They join the current CBMC Medical Oncology Team, which includes: Andrew Brown, MD; Sirish Dharmapuri, MD; I. Robert Grossman, MD; Aditya Kulkarni, MD, MPH, MBA; Stuart Leitner, MD; Louise Ligresti, MD; Anna Litvak, MD; Marshall McKenna, MD; Adrienne Phillips, MD, MPH; George Raptis, MD, MBA; Michael Scoppetuolo, MD; and Jennifer Wagmiller, MD.
Together, this team of highly trained, board-certified medical oncologists, along with CBMC's surgical oncology team and radiation oncology team, provide compassionate personalized treatment with a critical focus on patient-centered care that supports patients, families, and caregivers through every step in their cancer journey. From screening and diagnosis, through treatment and survivorship, care is delivered equitably in a compassionate and individualized environment. CBMC's medical oncologists' partner with their patients to help them understand their illness, their treatment plan, and all the medical expertise available to treat their cancer.

In late 2025, CBMC's oncologist will relocate from the Medical Center's East Wing to the new 137,000-square-foot Melchiorre Cancer Center at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center. This state-of-the-art facility will serve as the northern hub for oncology services for RWJBarnabas Health and Rutgers Cancer Institute, providing access to a full array of medical, surgical, and radiation oncology services under one roof.
