Palm Beach County, through its Department of Housing and Economic Development (DHED), has closed on a $2.8 million financing package to support the development of Lake Worth Beach CRA Villas, a new for-sale housing project designed to provide high-quality, affordable homeownership opportunities for local families.

The transaction reflects the County's strategic use of distinct funding sources to advance attainable housing developments throughout the community. Through the Housing Bond Loan Program (HBLP), the County is providing a $1,480,000 loan, complemented by $1,320,000 in Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) federal funds.

The closing occurred onOctober 29, 2025. The Lake Worth Beach CRA Villas project spans four scattered sites located at 1306 1st Street South, 610 North "E" Street, 417 South "D" Street, and 625 North "D" Street, within the city of Lake Worth Beach. Once completed, the development will include eight (8) county-assisted for-sale housing units, configured as four single-family villas with two (2) units each.

Lake Worth Beach CRA Villas will provide new, high-quality single-family homes available to families with incomes up to 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI). This development represents a significant investment in Palm Beach County's for-sale housing inventory and will expand affordable housing opportunities for working families.
