AIA Responds to Findings of Section 232 Investigation of Commercial Aircraft

Arlington, Va. - Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) President and CEO Eric Fanning today responded after the release of the Administration's Section 232 investigation on commercial aerospace products:

"Today's Section 232 action on commercial aerospace continues the Administration's track record of supporting our industry and the 2.1 million American employees who make up our advanced domestic manufacturing base," Fanning said. "We welcome the opportunity to strengthen our U.S.-based manufacturing, grow our domestic supply chain, and look forward to discussions on ways to deliver the best products that provide for our national and economic security. Our industry is ready to meet the growing demand for our products, both here at home and in markets around the world."
