City of Garden Grove to Celebrate Haster Basin Park Improvements

The City of Garden Grove invites the community to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Haster Basin Park's newest improvements on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. at 12952 Lampson Avenue. The free event will feature remarks by City Leaders, followed by a ceremonial ribbon-cutting for the new playground equipment, playground surface, and restroom building.

The new play area features colorful, play structures, including interactive activity panels, swings, obstacle courses, and more.

With improvements at Haster Basin Park finalized, the City has completed the three neighborhood park improvement projects, which are part of the City's Capital Improvement Plan and support priorities outlined in the 15-year Parks and Facilities Master Plan. Jardin de Los Niños was completed in August 2026, followed by West Haven Park's completion in October 2026. All three projects were partially funded by a $1 million dollar grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's Community Project Funding program.
