Starting Nov. 1, the City of Fort Worth's Community Engagement Office will be accepting nominations for the 2025 Neighborhood Awards, recognizing outstanding neighborhood associations, alliances and individuals who strengthened their communities through collaboration, innovation and service.
Awards are open to all registered neighborhood associations and alliances in Fort Worth for projects completed between Nov. 1, 2024, and Nov. 1, 2025. Nominations must be submitted online by 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, 2026.
This year's program includes returning categories, including:
As well as two new honors: the Safety-First Neighborhood Award and the Partners in Learning Award.
In addition to neighborhood categories, several awards highlight individual contributions, including Code Compliance Officer of the Year, Neighborhood Patrol Officer of the Year, Fort Worth Neighbor of the Year and the Danny Scarth Trailblazer Award, which honors leadership and advocacy for residents living with disabilities.
First-place awards may be presented to both voluntary and mandatory neighborhood associations. The Neighborhood of the Year will be chosen from among the top winners in key categories.
Judging will be conducted by members of the Neighborhood Engagement & Revitalization Alliance of North Texas. City staff will not participate in judging. Winners will be announced March 7, 2026, during the Mayor's Neighborhood Awards ceremony.
Nominees are encouraged to include up to five photos with their submissions. For recurring events, a winner must wait five years before reapplying in the same category. One-time events may be submitted without restriction.
