Stoneweg has been selected as one of eight organizations to join the second Scalable Tech cohort of the Wells Fargo Innovation Incubator (IN2), a $55 million energy technology initiative funded by Wells Fargo and coadministered by the U.S. Department of Energy's National Laboratory of the Rockies (NLR). Over the next six months, participants will receive expert guidance, practical adoption strategies, and access to validated startup solutions supporting energy innovation across housing, utilities, commercial infrastructure, and multifamily real estate.
Stoneweg will focus on evaluating IoT-enabled, AI-driven hardware that provides real-time visibility into mechanical systems and appliances, enabling predictive maintenance, reducing downtime, and improving asset performance. "We are eager to leverage IN2's expertise to access commercially ready technologies that strengthen value for owners and renters," said Thomas Stanchak, Stoneweg's Managing Director of Sustainability.
The program will culminate in a reverse pitch competition, where each organization presents a tailored adoption strategy developed with a curated, de-risked startup. Winners may receive up to $250,000 in Wells Fargo funding to pilot new technologies. IN2 leaders note that strong demand for scalable energy solutions is driving this diverse cohort and advancing innovation across the built environment.
