NEW PROCESS: COI Disclosures in DASH

With the implementation of DASH there is a new process for disclosing potential Conflicts of Interest (COI) when submitting a grant proposal, research contract, or IRB proposal.

For proposals submitted between January 7, 2025 and April 1, 2025, all key personnel must have a new COI disclosure in the DASH Research COI module before the Office of Sponsored Programs submits a grant or research contract to the funding sponsor or before submitting a new proposal to the IRB.

Lead PIs need to make sure their key personnel have a disclosure on file before submitting a proposal. If any key personnel do not have a disclosure in the DASH COI system, there will be an extremely limited window to submit one. A proposal cannot be submitted without a current, up-to-date disclosure from all key personnel. Researchers are encouraged to proactively enter their disclosures in the DASH COI system as soon as possible, to keep their disclosures current for any planned proposal submissions.

Visit the Research Conflict of Interest and Commitments page for all policies and guidance on UT System and the Health Science Center conflict of interest requirements.
