The Downside with Gianmarco Soresi Joins the Vox Media Podcast Network

Today, Vox Media announced a partnership with The Downside with Gianmarco Soresi, bringing the weekly comedy podcast to the Vox Media Podcast Network. Hosted by stand-up comedian Gianmarco Soresi (4.9 million followers) and actor Russell Daniels, The Downside embraces the negatives of life with humor and honesty. With new guests each week, this is the podcast where complaining is encouraged, negativity is celebrated and silver linings are debunked. Recent guests include Kumail Nanjiani, Caleb Hearon, Grace Reiter from HBO's The Chair Company, and influencer Hasan Piker. Vox Media will take on sales, marketing, and distribution for the podcast.

Soresi is a touring stand-up comedian and actor whose debut special Thief of Joy received critical acclaim from the New York Times and New York Post. In addition to making multiple appearances across late night and working on The Downside, he works on his recurring new material show, The Silver Lining and Theater Adult, where he melds the world of theater and comedy.

Daniels is an actor, writer, and comedian who recently starred in the Off-Broadway comedy Ginger Twinsies at the Orpheum Theater and in the modern adaptation of Moliere's The Imaginary Invalid at the Red Bull Theatre. Russell made his Broadway debut in the highly acclaimed production of Gutenberg, where he served as Josh Gad's standby directed by the legendary Alex Timbers.
