DGA Statement on Republican Threats to Reproductive Care Following Mifepristone Rulings

DGA Executive Director Meghan Meehan-Draper released the following statement on Republican threats to abortion rights and the stakes of governor's races on access to reproductive care following recent court rulings on mifepristone:

"In the years since the Dobbs decision came down, Donald Trump and Republicans have taken every opportunity to roll back reproductive rights, and last week's decision is only the latest in their efforts to do that. With 36 critical governor's races this year and extreme Republican candidates for governor wholeheartedly embracing this dangerous and deeply unpopular agenda, electing Democratic governors who will protect fundamental freedoms has never been more important. The DGA is on offense to hold Republicans accountable for their extreme anti-choice views, and voters will continue to reject their out of touch efforts at the ballot box in November."
