Pittsburgh, PA - PennDOT District 11 is announcing overnight closures on Route 1001 (Pittsburgh Street) in Springdale Borough, Allegheny County will begin Monday night, November 11 weather permitting.
Overnight closures of Pittsburgh Street between Duquesne Court and Washington Street will occur Monday through Saturday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. through early December. Crews from Grant Mackay Demolition Group will conduct bridge removal work of the span over Pittsburgh Street. Traffic will be detoured.

From Pittsburgh Street, turn onto Low Grade Road
Turn left onto Pillow Avenue
Turn left onto Hite Road
Take the ramp to northbound Route 28 toward Kittanning
From northbound Route 28, take the ramp to Pittsburgh Mills Boulevard (Exit 12A)
Turn right onto Pittsburgh Mills Boulevard
Turn left onto Tawney Run Road
Turn right onto Riddle Run Road
Follow Riddle Run Road back to Pittsburgh Street
End detour
East of the Bridge
From Pittsburgh Street, turn onto Riddle Run Road
Turn left onto Tawney Run Road
Turn right onto Pittsburgh Mills Boulevard
Take the ramp to southbound Route 28 toward Pittsburgh
From southbound Route 28, take the ramp to Cheswick/Springdale (Exit 12)
Turn left onto Hite Road
Turn right onto Pillow Avenue
Turn right onto Low Grade Road
Follow Low Grade Road back to Pittsburgh Street
