NEXT WEEK: Senate HELP Committee to Hold Hearing on Protecting American Universities from Foreign Influence

WASHINGTON - On Thursday, March 12, the U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee will hold a hearing on authoritarian regimes in China and the Middle East using financial contributions to infiltrate America's schools and advance an anti-America agenda. As Chairman of the HELP Committee, U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA) is leading efforts to ensure our universities are not susceptible to foreign influence, including the DETERRENT Act to bring clarity, transparency, and accountability to foreign gift reporting requirements for colleges and universities in the U.S.
