Celebrate National Youth Art Month by discovering the power of creativity at the Potocki Center for the Arts

March is National Youth Art Month, and the Potocki Center for the Arts is celebrating with an inspiring lineup of classes, workshops, and community art experiences.

Throughout the month, children and teens can explore their artistic talents through a variety of courses including Pastels for Kids, Drawing for Kids, Guitar & Ukulele, and Artist Academy-each offering students the opportunity to build skills, develop confidence, and express themselves in a supportive and creative environment.

For those looking to try something new in a single session, the Potocki Center also offers one-day workshops including Crochet for Kids, Crochet for Teens, and Cartooning. These workshops provide hands-on fun while introducing students to new artistic techniques.

In addition to classes, families are invited to stop by the Little Art Box at the Potocki Center all month long. Inspired by the "take a book, leave a book" concept of a Little Free Library, the Little Art Box is stocked with free craft kits for kids.

The celebration continues beyond the Potocki Center's walls. The Saddleback Valley Unified School District Visual & Media Arts Celebration is on display at the Mission Viejo Library through March 12. This districtwide showcase features nearly 250 exceptional works of art-including paintings, drawings, photography, and sculptures-created by talented K-12 students.
