TRAFFIC ALERT - New Castle County - I-95/Rt 896 Interchange Upcoming Closures
The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces overnight multi-lane closure on I-95 southbound (Monday-Wednesday) for concrete barrier work, overnight lane closure on I-95 northbound (Thursday) for concrete barrier work, overnight lane closures on southbound Rt 896 for barrier removal (Monday - Wednesday) and overnight lane closures on northbound and southbound Rt 72 (Monday - Thursday) for structure painting work.

· Monday, October 6th through Wednesday, October 8th: Overnight Multi-lane Closure, Southbound I-95, Welcome Center to the I-95 Interchange:

§ Wednesday, October 8th: (7PM - 6AM) (if needed)
· Thursday, October 9th: Overnight Lane Closure, Northbound I-95, from the Toll Plaza to the I-95 Interchange (6PM - 6AM)

· Monday, October 6th through Wednesday, October 8th (Wed. if needed): Overnight Lane Closure, Southbound Rt 896, I-95 Interchange to the Old Baltimore Pike (10PM - 5AM)
Rt 72 IMPACTS
· Monday, October 6th through Thursday, October 9th: Overnight Lane Closure, Northbound and Southbound Rt 72 between Bellevue Road and Brookhill Dr. (7PM - 7AM)
UPCOMING Rt 896 NORTHBOUND AND RAMP CLOSURE
Northbound Rt 896 between Old Baltimore Pike and the I-95 interchange and the northbound Rt 896 to northbound I-95 on-ramp are tentatively scheduled to be closed overnight Tuesday, October 14th into Wednesday, October15th and overnight Wednesday ,October 15th into Thursday, October 16th to implement new traffic pattern on northbound Rt 896 and install an overhead sign structure. (All work weather permitting)
