Move, Meet & Motivate Fitness Series Launches This July

Montgomery's commitment to community wellness is taking center stage this summer with the launch of the Move, Meet & Motivate fitness series, hosted by the City of Montgomery Parks and Recreation Department. The first class will be held on July 4th from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at Blount Cultural Park, 1 Festival Drive, offering residents a healthy and energizing way to start Independence Day.

Following the kickoff event, all remaining sessions will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the Riverwalk Amphitheater, 355 Coosa Street, giving participants a scenic and accessible space to enjoy weekly outdoor fitness.

Led by the City's Fitness Coordinator, Kim West, the series is designed for participants of all ages and fitness levels. The goal is to bring the Montgomery community together through movement, health, and shared outdoor experiences.

Residents are encouraged to bring plenty of water, a yoga mat, and a towel, as the workouts are structured to be both welcoming for beginners and engaging for regular exercisers. City organizers hope the series will boost both physical well-being and community spirit.

"Move, Meet & Motivate is about more than staying active-it's about fostering a stronger, healthier Montgomery," organizers said. "We want residents to feel connected, supported, and inspired in a fun, outdoor environment."

The event is free and open to the public.
