Rep. Mary Ann Santos Appointed to National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators Executive Committee

ATLANTA - State Representative Mary Ann Santos (D-McDonough) recently was appointed to the Executive Committee of the National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators (NHCSL) for the 2026-2027 term.

"It is an honor to represent the people of Henry County in House District 117 in this leadership role," said Rep. Santos. "I look forward to working with my legislative colleagues across the country to share ideas and advance solutions that strengthen communities and expand opportunity for families."

The appointment places Rep. Santos among state legislators from across the country with the mission of guiding national policy conversations affecting communities nationwide. In this role, Rep. Santos will represent NHCSL's Southern Region, where she will collaborate with fellow legislators on policies that seek to support economic opportunity, strong schools and thriving communities.

NHCSL is a nonpartisan organization that brings together Hispanic state legislators from across the United States and its territories to develop and promote public policies that improve opportunity and quality of life.

ATLANTA - La representante estatal Mary Ann Santos (D-McDonough) fue recientemente designada al Comité Ejecutivo del Caucus Nacional Hispano de Legisladores Estatales (NHCSL, por sus siglas en inglés) para el período 2026-2027.

"Es un honor representar a la gente del condado de Henry en el Distrito 117 de la Cámara en este rol de liderazgo", dijo la representante Santos. "Espero trabajar con mis colegas legislativos de todo el país para compartir ideas y promover soluciones que fortalezcan las comunidades y amplíen las oportunidades para las familias."

El nombramiento coloca a la representante Santos entre legisladores estatales de todo el país con la misión de guiar las conversaciones de política pública a nivel nacional que afectan a las comunidades en todo el país. Representative Mary Ann Santos represents the citizens of District 117, which includes a portion of Henry County. She was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2024 and currently serves on the Code Revision, Judiciary, Juvenile and State Properties committees.
