UBC Appoints Dr. Massoud Toussi as Vice President, Real World Evidence

Global RWE leader brings more than 20 years of pharmaceutical, CRO, and regulatory expertise to strengthen UBC's evidence generation capabilities.

King of Prussia, PA - 27 January 2026 | United BioSource LLC (UBC) today announced the appointment of Massoud Toussi, MD, PhD, as Vice President, Real World Evidence. Dr. Toussi will lead the global strategy and execution of UBC's Real World Evidence capabilities, bolstering the company's scientific offerings and supporting both commercial and R&D partners.

Dr. Toussi is a physician-scientist and gllobal expert in Real World Evidence (RWE), Real World Data (RWD), and pharmacoepidemiology, with more than 20 years of experience across the pharmaceutical industry, CROs, regulatory agencies, and nonprofit sectors. Most recently, he served as Vice President and Global Head of RWE at Cytel. He has also held senior leadership roles at IQVIA, where he led international teams and managed global evidence portfolios.

Throughout his career, Dr. Toussi has contributed to advancing scientific standards through organizations including ENCePP, ISPE, ISPOR, HTAi, and EU2P, authoring more than 50 publications and guidelines, and helping to develop innovative tools to improve evidence generation.
