Mayor and City Leaders announce changes for key Detroit People Mover Station
City leaders joined community partners at the People Mover to unveil the new name of the Second Ave. station and discussed its future role in the Second Avenue Extension, which includes the new JW Marriott hotel, public spaces and other developments.
More than a development, the Second Ave. Extension is about creating connection, community, and a stronger Detroit. The station is being renamed the Water Square Station.
