South Coast AQMD issued a windblown dust & ash advisory for the majority of the South Coast Air Basin, including the entire City of Los Angeles, in effect until 7:00 PM Wednesday, January 15, 2025. High winds may disperse ash from the Palisades and Eaton impact zones, as well as the Hurst, Kenneth, Line, Airport, and Bridge fire burn scars. Blowing dust may result in air quality levels that are unhealthy for sensitive groups or worse in portions of Los Angeles, Orange, and Riverside Counties in the South Coast Air Basin.
