FPSC to Consider FPL's Settlement Agreement at Special Commission Conference

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida Public Service Commission (FPSC) will hold a Special Commission Conference on Thursday, November 20, 2025, to consider Florida Power & Light Company's (FPL) proposed Settlement Agreement associated with the utility's pending rate case petition filed on February 28, 2025.

The Agreement, submitted to the Commission on August 20, 2025, reflects extensive collaboration among customer groups, businesses, and advocacy organizations. Signatories include the Florida Industrial Power Users Group, Florida Retail Federation, Florida Energy for Innovation Association, Walmart Inc., EVgo Services, Americans for Affordable Clean Energy, Circle K Stores, RaceTrac, Wawa, Electrify America, Federal Executive Agencies, Armstrong World Industries, and the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy.

A two-week evidentiary hearing beginning October 6, 2025, provided all parties the opportunity to present testimony and cross-examine witnesses on both the Agreement and FPL's initial rate request.
