The following statement of support for the Senate Amendment to H.Con.Res. 14, Establishing the congressional budget for the United States Government for fiscal year 2025 and setting forth the appropriate budgetary levels for fiscal years 2026 through 2034, can be attributed to Small Business & Entrepreneurship Council (SBE Council) President & CEO Karen Kerrigan:
"There is no more important task for our economy and the viability of America's entrepreneurial sector than for Congress to extend the pro-growth tax provisions within the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act."
"Making permanent these essential tax provisions will support the innovative growth and job-creating capacity of small businesses across all sectors of the U.S. economy - including retailers, restaurants, construction firms, manufacturers, family farms, transportation providers, various service businesses, new startups, and pioneering firms within the energy, technology and biopharmaceutical sectors, among others. Entrepreneurs and small businesses drive innovation and job creation, and their activity is vital to the health of local economies and U.S. global competitiveness. A long-term favorable tax climate that supports investment and small business growth will fortify a resilient ecosystem for our businesses and the entrepreneurs who drive dynamism in the U.S. economy. Passage of the Senate Amendment to the House budget resolution is critical to that end."
"Congress must do everything in its power to avoid punishing tax increases on America's families and small businesses, and do more to make our nation the best place in the world to start and grow a business. SBE Council strongly supports passage of the Senate Amendment to H.Con.Res. 14 and urges every member of the U.S. House to vote in favor of this critical pro-growth, pro-small business measure."
